She has lived in 5 states (coast to coast) and has traveled the world helping animals in need, from South Africa to Thailand as well as all throughout the US.
In 2007, Dr. Mendillo graduated from Yale University where she completed a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She then worked in clinical research, nursing, and also as a veterinary technician prior to pursuing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, where she found just the right balance of knowledge and hands-on challenges. She is an honorary member of the Phi Zeta Veterinary Medical Honor Society and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and was awarded the Jack Walther Leadership Award in 2014.
Dr. Mendillo graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University in 2015, choosing to utilize her degree in the practice of general medicine in veterinary practices in both Ohio and Connecticut. She has been a part of the Central Hospital family for several years, beginning with surgical rotations while in veterinary school and most recently serving as an ER veterinarian. Since purchasing Montowese Veterinary Clinic in 2019, she looks forward to remaining part of that Central family and integrating as a new part of the local community.
